i always thought that a moldy strawberry could be eaten by removing the visible moldy part and eating the visibly healthy one; that is exactly what i have done all my life thanks to the knowledge received from my friends when i was a child. similar action to the five seconds rule when you drop something to the floor; pick it up quickly and you can eat it
out of simple curiosity, i left a strawberry on the kitchen counter for three days, sampled it on the kochslide, and looked at it under the em1 microscope. from what i observed, i learned that mold grows deep and from now on when i find moldy fruit at home, i will discard it completely to eat it but observe its beauty with a microscope
